New EIA application for offshore wind project off coast of Changhua County, Taiwan

Taiwan’s EIA forum announced a new EIA application for offshore wind project off coast of  Changhua County submitted by local developer Taiwan Huang Feng.

According to the announcement, the local developer is applying EIA for site near Changhua County’s  Lukang township, Fuxing township and Fangyuan township, locating about 5km off coast at nearest and covers area about 129 KM2.

The wind farm is likely to adopt wind turbines with capacity ranging from 9MW to 20MW, with a total capacity not exceeding 620MW.
