Energy Disrupter

Ørsted has received approval for the 242MW Gode Wind 3 project in the North Sea from Germany’s Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency (BSH).

The project is to be made up of 23 Siemens Gamesa turbines and will be operational in 2024.

A final investment decision by Ørsted is still pending.

Jörg Kubitza, Managing Director of Ørsted in Germany: “The planning approval for Gode Wind 3 is another important milestone for us in the project. Together with Borkum Riffgrund 3, the construction of the wind farm represents the next stage of our offshore wind power expansion in Germany and is an essential part of our support for the German energy transition.”
