Enel Green Power commissions 269MW Mexican wind farm

The developer was awarded a power contract in November 2017, in Mexico’s third long-term power auction. The wind farm was initially scheduled to come online in mid-2020, but installation was not completed until September 2020. 

The Mexican grid operator Cenace will purchase Dolores’ output for 15 years and clean electricity certificates for 20 years. 

Its commissioning brings Mexico’s total operational wind capacity to just over 7GW.
