Detailed design of Dutch substation jacket and foundations

Energy Disrupter

UK-based Sea and Land Project Engineering (SLPE) has been awarded the detailed design of the Hollandse Kust (west Alpha) offshore substation jacket and foundations.

SLPE signed a contract earlier this year with Iemants who, in a joint venture with Engie, will deliver this offshore substation as a complete turn-key solution for the Dutch developer TenneT.

The jacket structure will be approximately 48 m high and weigh in the region of 2,200 tonnes. It will be installed in 28 m water depth to support a topside of approximately 4,000 tonnes.

The Hollandse Kust (west Alpha) offshore substation is scheduled to be commissioned in 2024.
