The United Downs Deep Geothermal Project has launched a tender for the provision of water injection pumps.
Provision of Water Injection Pump(s) to Inject Produced Geothermal Water into the Injection Well at the United Downs Deep Geothermal Power (UDDGP) project, Cornwall, UK.
Geothermal Engineering Ltd (GEL) is seeking bids for the provision and operation of a number of standalone pumps to continuously pump produced geothermal water from the production well, United Downs-1 (UD-1) into the injection well, United Downs-2 (UD-2) at the United Downs Deep Geothermal Power project located near Redruth in Cornwall, UK. The pumping operation will need to operate 24hrs a day for a period of 7 days, with the produced geothermal water being injected at rates between 10 – 40 Litres /second and at temperatures from 70 up to 80 deg C and up to 150 bars/2000 psi pressure.
The pumps will be required to be ready to operate on site for a period of 7 days during mid to late May 2021. The project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund. The closing date for the bids is 9th April 2021. Bids must reach GEL by no later than 1500 GMT on 9th April 2021.
