U.S. headquartered Thermochem is seeking to fill two position for its operations based in Santa Rosa, California.

Field Technician

The Field Tech position at Thermochem is the starting point for a career in field work at our company.    The primary role of the Field Tech is to assist the Field Chemist in completing the project.  They learn how to install and operate field sampling equipment, record field data, and transfer of samples/equipment to and from the worksite.  At the laboratory, Field Technicians perform equipment maintenance, prepare equipment for field deployment, and learn the basics of field chemistry.

Qualifications:  This position is full-time and includes benefits.  It is open to applicants with a minimum two-year degree (4-year degree preferred) in chemistry, geology, or other physical science, and at least two years’ work experience, preferably in a related field.

Field Chemist

Field chemists at Thermochem, Inc. conduct field work at project locations scattered over 5 continents worldwide.  They are involved in all phases of the field work process from project planning, on-site execution of the sampling plan, collection of accurate field data and geochemical samples, and above all, safe operations from start to finish.  Back at the laboratory, Field Chemists assemble lab data into final reports for the clients, build and maintain field instrumentation, and participate in field equipment research and development.

Qualifications:  This position is full-time and includes benefits.  It is open to applicants with a minimum four-year degree in chemistry, geology, or other physical science, and at least five years’ work experience in the geothermal industry or other similar field.

Note: Both positions are for Santa Rosa, CA. An important distinction as this will likely draw international attention, and being able to easily travel and work in the US will be required.
