DELAWARE-  A health, energy, and housing forum was virtually held this week informing people of the efforts being made to bring resources to Delawareans.

Lieutenant Governor Bethany Hall-Long, who was a guest,  says this forum brought together advocates, non-profits, and private organizations.

During the forum, they spoke about future plans and ways to empower communities and residents to improve home energy efficiency.

We are told particularly during the pandemic appropriate utilities have become scarce for many.

So, these issues need to be addressed.

“We truly are thankful that we are shining a light again on where we can bring together energy programs, housing, and health,” Hall- Long said. “When you have inappropriate air and heat and other weatherization issues, it really plays an impact on persons who have other health conditions.”

Those dealing with these issues include those struggling socioeconomically, communities of color, and people living in rural areas.

If you have concerns, you are encouraged to call 211.
