Hornsea Two jackets set sail from Batam

Energy Disrupter

On 13th August, the heavy transport vessel Big Lift Barentsz departed Batam in Indonesia with over 10,000 tonnes of steelwork loaded on board.

The offshore substation (OSS) jacket and reactive compensation station jacket for Hornsea Two offshore wind farm were safely and successfully loaded on board over a number of weeks.

The HTV now embarks on a long journey to the UK east coast via the Indian Ocean, around the Cape of Good Hope, along the west coast of Africa and finally through the English Channel – a total transit duration of approximately 50 days.
